"Loved the evening. It was really amazing. The discussion at the end was quite fascinating too. Congratulations to you for bringing everyone together and producing a really moving event. … I really liked the point raised by one of your actors at the end about people joining together in a catastrophe."
"Just to say that I thought last night was a great success, even with the ‘grizzled’ ROC members! I had such good natters with all kinds of folk – great stuff. Bother the Cold War map and – especially the WWII one were a great jog to peoples’ memories. The ‘presentation piece’ reminded me of a REAL company, which runs big bunkers to keep the merchant banks etc. running in the event of a war. Scary stuff!"
"I enjoyed it hugely… Fascinating things to think about."
"Just to say how very much I enjoyed the performance last night. Very stimulating, and it was great to meet so many interesting people and find out all sorts in the process!"
"I particularly liked the Catastrophix scenario, though I think the audience seemed a little uncertain about the satirical elements. Perhaps it was difficult to make the mental adjustment after hearing the moving real stories of wartime? I thought it was very clever and telling, though. Also enjoyed the maps with the pennies and the strange, eerie radiophonic effects. Stephen Falkner enjoyed the evening, I know."
"I think you can call this stage of the project a great success."
"I enjoyed myself on Friday."
"The catastrophix presentation was interesting, and convincing, we really got carried away with the possibilities it presented and thought it was real for a while!"
What aspect of the project do you find most interesting?: "I think, people's personal experiences. Look forward to the opportunity to see DVD’s. Thanks very much for an entertaining evening."
